| I
get many questions from couples looking
to hold a Destination Wedding in Moab, yet
who need to stick to a small budget. Here
are some suggestions:
Ceremony Date - Plan
your wedding during the off-season, which
in Moab runs from November 1 - February
28 (29). Lodging will be drastically cheaper!
And, booking ceremony and reception venues
is likely to be easier. One word of caution,
some restaurants close or have reduced hours
during the off-season.
Ceremony
Time - Hold your reception earlier
in the day (a brunch or even breakfast reception)
to save big bucks on menu costs. You may
also be able to save on dj/entertainment
costs this way as well. For summer weddings,
this is also a good way to beat the heat!
Simplicity
- Keep floral arrangements simple,
and consider candles or other decor to reduce
the wedding floral costs.
Attire
- Browse Destination Wedding gowns
or other attire as you see fit. Traditional
wedding gowns and tuxedos are not typically
worn in weddings in Moab, and you'll be
hard-pressed to get any last-minute alterations
done in town. So, consider simpler and more
practical styles that suit your personalities
and that won't require alterations or a
lot of attention.
