Hotels fill up fast in Moab - particularly from March through October. We recommend that you reserve a block of rooms early. Front desk staff can get swamped and may have difficulty staying on the line with you to spend time discussing all your needs. We recommend that you ask them to call you at a mutally convenient time (usually noon - 2pm Mountain time), or ask to speak with a sales manager. Review all the details carefully...we have found that while some staff are very professional and accomodating, some are rather scattered and might not provide the level of service you may be used to, particularly if you call in the morning when they are busiest.

If you decide to use a name brand hotel or even condo rental, often you can request a room block via the internet. This is probably the most efficient and painless way to set aside a room block for your guests. We have found that larger hotels usually offer better service when it comes to holding a room block, or booking several rooms at once.

Do check the Moab Events Calendar for any events scheduled for your wedding date...it is also probably wise to avoid the event's host hotel.

And don't forget to book lodging for the two of you! You might consider staying at a romantic Bed and Breakfast. There are several in Moab to choose from. This may require some diplomatic skill on your part when talking to family members about your plans, but the privacy is worth it!
