If your wedding party hasn't spent much time in the desert Southwest, you may need to prepare them mentally for the day. Weddings on slickrock or red rock will require sturdy shoes. Ladies can wear flats or sandals with very short heels. Sunrise ceremonies will require sweaters, light jackets, or wraps.

Things in Moab tend to be much more casual and slower-paced - hopefully everyone will find that comforting! If you plan to hold the ceremony and/or reception outdoors, be sure to bring along lots of water - nominate a few guests to assist you. You will probably be nervous, and it is easy to become dehydrated in this part of the country - year-round. You might also ask your maid of honor or someone in the wedding party to assist you with other personal needs like sunscreen and small toiletries.
