Poison Spider Trail

The Poison Spider trail is for experts only and requires a lot of skill. You have to be able to ride through narrow canyons, dry sand beds, over unstable ledges, slick rock, up torturous ascents, and down severe descents. The Portal leaves no room for error. Views of the Behind The Rocks and the Arch Overlook are spectacular.

	Distance: 12.8 miles
	Terrain: Slickrock, loose rock, sand
	Elevation Gain: 1075 feet
	Getting There: Take 191 north. Turn left on Potash Road (before the Arches entrance). This road heads back towards town, along the river, through the Portal, and along Wall Street rock-climbing area. The trailhead comes up just after a sign saying "Dinosaur Tracks". Take a sharp right turn (a little ways past mile marker 10).
