Critters are
fascinating, but desert critters
can be downright dangerous.
The desert climate of Moab
is home to rattlesnakes, a
few scorpions, and even black
widows. Never reach under
rocks, overhangs, or undercuts
- there could be a midget
rattlesnake under there. These
small snakes are much more
poisonous than the huge diamondbacks
found in the Eastern United
States. Be aware - rattlers
also like small scrub and
brushes - they have been spotted
under plants a mere 6"
high!!
