This trail is part of the Needles district of Canyonlands National Park. It is considered moderately strenuous. This section of the park is less traveled, and you are sure to find solitude here. Have we mentioned that the views are fantastic?

There are about 15 hiking trails in this district. Call the park at (435)719-2313 or go to the Canyonlands homepage at www.nps.gov/cany for a downloadable map, backcountry permit and further information.

Minimum Time to allow: 3 hours
Distance: 6 miles
Elevation Gain: 1278 feet
Getting There: Take 191 south for 40 miles then take Utah Highway 211 roughly 35 miles west. Highway 211 ends in the Needles, and is the only paved road leading in and out of the district. Entrance fee is currently $10 per car.
